One link, two views: parent and child
When a parent opens an activity, they see how to run it. When the same link is opened signed out, for example on a child's device, it shows only the activity itself.
What it does
The parent view includes instructions in the parent's mother-tongue transliteration, an example of what the activity should look like, a scoring panel and a place to record observations.
The child view is simple and focused. For reading activities it shows words and letters in large type, lets children enlarge or shrink the text, and speaks any word they tap. For Arabic it can use a pre-downloaded library of verses with qirā'āt word by word or verse by verse.
The child view is deliberately limited
A signed-out visitor sees the activity content only. Instructions, scoring and observations stay on the signed-in parent view.
- No sign-in is needed for the child view; it contains no parent content.
- Celebration moments mark finished activities.
- Voice and speech options can be tuned for the child.
